Water activities can mean a variety of things such as water skiing, wakeboarding, and rowing — it’s a water sports paradise. Or is fishing a little more your speed? Lake Roosevelt’s renowned fishing holes are calling your name! How about hiking or even just a little sunbathing? With acres of flora and miles of shoreline, find your own little piece of peace and explore! Bird & Wildlife Watching


By land, by sea, or by sky Lake Roosevelt is home to an abundance of nature’s beauty – the likes of which is seen in few places in the United States. Eagles and osprey soar the skies. Bobcats, moose, and bears are among the land-dwellers. If the water is more your speed you will be amazed by the views but also the white sturgeon (North America’s largest fresh water fish) and rainbow trout swimming below.

Fishing


If you haven’t fished Lake Roosevelt you don’t know what you’re missing. More than 30 species of fish call Lake Roosevelt home. Whether it’s your first time casting, or you’re looking to wrestle a 300 pound sturgeon, our waters have the adventure for you.
You may see: rainbow trout, white sturgeon (averaging 100-300 pounds), yellow perch, lake whitefish, kokanee (landlocked sockeye salmon), and the indigenous burbot.

Hunting


One of the few National Park Service units to allow hunting, Lake Roosevelt’s regulations are meant to provide a safe and meaningful experience for all visitors. Hunters must be familiar with both Washington State and federal regulations and keep in mind that many park visitors will be unaware that hunting occurs within the recreation area.

Watersports


There’s no greater destination than Lake Roosevelt if enjoying the water is your passion. Whether you enjoy the peaceful rhythm of the kayak or the exhilaration of a motorboat, you are welcome at Lake Roosevelt Adventures. You will see everything from tubing, wakeboarding, and waterskiing, to floating and cliff jumping along all 660 miles of glorious shoreline!

Grand Coulee's laser light show


One River, Many Voices, is held nightly at Grand Coulee Dam starting the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend through September 30. The show lasts about 30 minutes and is free of charge.
